Good Neighbor Policy

Brooke’s House Foundation employs a Good Neighbor Policy that encourages a community-like environment at each of our homes. We make it a priority to be a “good neighbor” and respect those who live around us. We consider it the highest importance for residents to follow our policies intended to honor the peace and integrity of the neighborhood.

We expect all our residents and staff to conduct themselves in a friendly and courteous manner by following our Good Neighbor Policy. We function as a family-like unit and live in beautiful neighborhoods surrounded by other families. We have strict rules about noise levels and maintain respectful quiet hours. By being good neighbors in safe and quiet neighborhoods, we make it possible for residents to get the help they need in a comfortable home environment conducive to growth and sustained recovery. We empower residents to plan, grow, and save for the next chapter in their lives.

We strive to meet and exceed the minimum certification requirements of the  National Alliance of Recovery Residences (NARR) and its Texas affiliate, Texas Recovery-Oriented Housing Network (TROHN). “The good neighbor policies are really a product of decades of experience established in our affiliates around the country… the policy really centers around courtesy.” says NARR president Dave Sheridan.
